I originally went with Everyday Insurance mainly because of the rewards and shop discounts, since I already use Everyday Rewards a fair bit. To be fair, those perks do help a little, and signing up was straightforward. But the pricing isn’t amazing, and I definitely found cheaper options elsewhere. It feels okay overall, but I can’t say I’m impressed. the whole thing has left me feeling like I’ve lost a bit of trust in them, it sounds better at first than it actually feels once you’re paying for it.

I logged in to my Everyday Insurance account to check my policy and update my card details. The online account was straightforward and didn’t take long at all. Pages loaded fine, and I found my documents without having to click around too much, which was a relief. That said, I did feel a bit ignored when I needed a bit more reassurance or help, like everything was just left for me to figure out online. Still, it’s nice when the basics are simple for once...

I really appreciated that the exclusions weren’t buried in tiny fine print somewhere. I was kind of thinking, “Okay, what’s the catch?” but it was actually easy to find everything I needed. That made it way quicker for me to figure out whether the policy was a good fit. Straightforward overall, and so far, no surprises

"Pretty smooth claim process"
I put in a claim and ended up getting updates faster than I expected, which was a nice surprise. It took about a few days overall, but nothing that felt too annoying. I do think they could explain some of the steps a little better, but around the whole experience, it was good.

"Got me back on the road quickly"
In my experience, it was all straightforward. My battery died while I was at Woolies, so I called roadside assist and waited around 35 minutes. The guy who came out was friendly and had the car started again quickly. Going through Everyday Insurance felt easy enough, and I didn’t have any real dramas. Overall, I was happy with how it went.

"Getting a simple policy answer took way too long"
I just needed to call about my policy, which should’ve been a quick and simple thing, but I ended up sitting on hold forever. Once I finally got through, the person I spoke with was perfectly fine and helpful enough, but the wait time made the whole thing way more frustrating than it needed to be.

"Okay claim experience, but the payout was a little disappointing"
My claim was handled okay overall, but the payout ended up being a bit lower than I expected. It wasn’t a complete disaster or anything, but I definitely thought it would be more, especially after looking at the damage, the repair estimates, the receipts, the photos, and even comparing it to similar situations I’ve had or heard about. To be fair, they did eventually explain how they came up with the amount, like what was covered, what wasn’t, depreciation, policy limits, all that stuff. It just took a lot of back and forth to get a clear answer, with emails, calls, follow-ups, and me having to ask the same type of question in a few different ways. So I wouldn’t say it was terrible, because they did respond and they did pay something, but I wouldn’t call it great either. It was more like average, fine, decent enough, but not exactly smooth or satisfying

I’ve still had a good experience overall, but the renewal price went up more than I was expecting. That said, it’s not like the service has been bad or anything, I just wish the increase had been a little easier to see coming

They kept me updated the whole time and explained everything clearly enough, which I appreciated. I really hate being left waiting, waiting around with no updates is the worst, so I was glad that didn’t happen here. No long delays, no sitting there wondering what was going on, no annoying waiting forever. Overall, happy with how it all went

Overall it was fine, but the underwriting questions felt like a lot. I also wasn’t totally sure why I qualified for some options but not others, which was kinda confusing. Got it sorted in the end, but it definitely took longer than I expected.
